Wednesday 7/31: A Giant Dog @ Boneyard

Austin, Texas punk rock band A Giant Dog is known for being “one of Austin’s most thrillingly irreverent bands.” The five-piece group has released six full-length records, including a frenetic and surprisingly inventive punk rock cover of Arcade Fire’s Neon Bible. Local support comes from Franzy and Shaky’s Bad Knee, so be sure not to miss it! // Boneyard Bar 9PM $10 at door

Thursday 8/1: Interlay, Deadharrie @ Sluggo’s

Chicago-based rock band Interlay blends garage rock, heavy post-punk, and shoegaze into their own thick, melodic creations. Florida’s lo-fi indie artist Deadharrie crafts emotionally charged tracks reminiscent of early Alex G. Local band Inactivist will kick things off. Thursday 8/1: Belly Full of Stars @ Barking Legs

Everyone/Everything presents an ambient music showcase on the outdoor stage at Barking Legs. Thursday 8/1: Flagman @ Boneyard

Orlando alternative metal band Flagman offers up this weeks’ most intriguing experience, describing themselves as “a deep-fried 3-piece alt rock/metal band.” With three albums and an EP since their 2020 formation, they show no signs of slowing down. Local support comes from a couple of favorites: stoner-metal band Dopeskum and punk group The Claw. // Boneyard Bar 8PM $10 at door

Friday 8/2: Blair Crimmins $ The Hookers @ JJ’s Bohemia

Blair Crimmins and The Hookers will transport you to the past with their old-time New Orleans jazz, infused with their own fresh flair. Hailing from Atlanta, Crimmins delivers an eclectic stage show featuring piano, guitar, banjo, ukulele, and accordion. Local blues and ragtime virtuoso Lon Eldridge joins the lineup for this perfect post-Nightfall show. // JJ’s Bohemia 10PM

Friday 8/2: Okey Dokey @ Nightfall

Saturday 8/3: Drivin’ N Cryin’ @ Riverfront Nights

Formed in 1985, Atlanta’s Drivin’ N’ Cryin’ blends Southern rock grit with punk and alternative influences. Their electrifying live shows (and a gold record) have secured their place in the Southern rock scene. Sunday 8/4: Shop Talk @ JJ’s Bohemia

You can expect a great show when JJ’s opens its doors on a Sunday. NYC-based punk rock band Shop Talk headlines a stacked lineup of local favorites Liar Mute, Onion Milk, Heather 86, alongside the Florida-based Killer Larry. Sunday 8/4: TWEN @ Cherry Street Tavern

Nashville’s best (and busiest) punk rock band, TWEN, returns to Chattanooga this Sunday night. They’re on an extensive U.S. tour through early September before taking their special recipe of Nashville punk rock to Europe. No word on the local opener yet, but it’s Cherry St. Tavern so you know it’ll rock. // Cherry Street Tavern 9PM $15
