Live Music

The Songbirds Guitar Museum and music venue, which moved to its new location in April 2024, is a must-see destination for guitar enthusiasts and live music fans. Originally located on the Chattanooga Choo Choo campus, Songbirds now has a fresh space that showcases an impressive collection of guitars, a full service bar, and kitchen.

Songbirds is more than just a museum; it’s a thriving music venue that regularly hosts live performances by bands from across the country. Local talent also has a spotlight, with showcases, open mics, and charity events held frequently.

The stage setup is ideal for small, intimate performances with seated audiences, yet flexible enough to accommodate standing-room-only shows for over 150 people. Keep an eye on the Songbirds calendar; they’re planning more events now that they’re settled into their new permanent space.

Songbirds Radio Hour

The Songbirds Radio Hour is an artist interview and music show produced each month by The Songbirds Museum. The show airs monthly on WUTC 88.1 in Chattanooga.

Past episodes featuring interviews with The Screaming Females, Steve Earle, Richard Lloyd, Amanda Shires and others can be heard at WUTC.org.

Parking

Songbirds has a paid lot adjacent to their building. There are two other paid parking lots directly behind and across from nearby HiFi Clyde’s Bar.

Always pay your parking fee. Parking enforcement will ticket quickly and without mercy.

There is free street parking on Main Street, Cowart Street, Williams Street and other nearby side streets.
