Palomino Blond, Mr. Floyd Larry, Field of View
Miami indie rockers Palomino Blond and Mr. Floyd Larry stomp into Chattanooga on March 5th at Yellow Racket Records for a night of dreamy pop and energetic shoegaze. The two bands are on a Spring tour that has them hitting 18 cities, including stops in Atlanta, NYC, Boston, and Philadelphia.
Chattanooga DIY punk band Field of View are on the bill to open the show, making this event even more of a banger. Field of View are regulars around town and are fresh off of shows in Nashville and Starkville, Mississippi.
Palomino Blond released their debut album ontheinside in 2021. It’s a swirly shoegaze rip with moments of high energy, lush textures and floating guitars.
Their most recent single Machine has more straightforward alternative rock sound. It was mixed by Steve Evetts, a producer who has worked with The Cure and Saves The Day.
Mr. Floyd Larry is a one man bedroom pop band, producing every element of his music on his own. He has produced three full length albums. The most recent, City Mountains, is a deeply immersive and delicate record. There are whispers of Beach Fossils and Dream Ivory.
Locals fellas Field of View released a very strong debut EP last fall called S/T. It’s high energy and loud. It feels short, but that’s only because you want to hear more from them. It’s a great first release.
