Nightfall Music Series
Chattanooga’s longest-running music festival is a free Friday night event spanning 15 weeks from May to August each year. The blocks surrounding Miller Park and Plaza are closed to traffic and transformed into vibrant spaces filled with local craft vendors, art exhibits, food trucks, and family activities, all while bands energize the Miller Plaza stage – and it’s all free!
Beer, wine and cocktails are available for purchase and can be consumed through the entire event area.
The Nightfall concerts take place rain or shine, so no need to worry about weather cancellations. Shade is somewhat limited and Miller Plaza can stay hot until sunset. It’s advisable to bring a hat, sunglasses, and ensure you stay hydrated!
The music starts every Friday night at 7:00 pm with the opening band, followed by the headliner at 8:00 pm.
Beginning in 2024, Nightfall will offer its first ever Happy Hour weekly drink specials for early birds from 5:30-6:30.
New street closures for 2024
Beginning this year road closures for the event will move one block eastward.
MLK Boulevard will be closed from the Miller Park/ Miller Plaza area to the intersection with Lindsay Street. Food and beverage vendors will be in the closed portion of MLK Blvd. Georgia Avenue will be closed on both sides of MLK Blvd.
Parking
Reserved motorcycle parking has moved for the 2024 festival. The reserved parking area for motorcycles will be on Georgia Avenue north of the intersection with MLK Boulevard. Police are usually on site to guide you through the barricade/entrance.
Market Street will remain open to vehicle traffic during the events! Motorcycle parking has moved from Market Street to Georgia Avenue, north of the intersection with MLK Blvd.
There is free street parking available all around Miller Park and Miller Plaza after 6:00pm.
There are multiple paid lots within a short walk. The closest paid parking lots are on Market St, Broad St, East MLK Blvd, and Cherry & East 8th St.
