Local Motown masters, The Malemen Band and blues favorites Rick Rushing & The Blues Strangers close out the 2024 Riverfront Nights series this Saturday, August 31, at 7 PM.
This Saturday, the 2024 Riverfront Nights Free Summer Music Series concludes with a night dedicated to the timeless sounds of Motown, headlined by The Malemen Show Band at Ross’s Landing in downtown Chattanooga.
The Malemen Show Band, based in Chattanooga, brings 25 years of passionate performance experience to the stage. Known for their stellar, choreographed shows, they blend soothing melodies from their three female vocalists with the funk-driven energy of a seven-member rhythm and horn section.
The Malemen Show Band has played for U.S. Presidents and shared the stage with iconic acts such as The Gap Band, Parliament/Funkadelic, Boyz II Men, and Cameo.
Their setlist spans decades, from the 1960s to today’s hits, making them a versatile and seasoned act.

Kicking off the evening at 7:00 PM, local trio Rick Rushing & the Blues Strangers will warm up the crowd with their signature blend of blues, jazz and rock, ensuring an unforgettable final night of this year’s shows.

Riverfront Nights Event Details
Riverfront Nights is a free, all-ages concert series that runs from May through August at Ross’s Landing on Chattanooga’s scenic waterfront.
Shows happen rain or shine, with start times adjusted only for severe weather.
Music kicks off at 7:00 PM, but concessions open at 6:00 PM—so arrive early to grab a drink and find a great spot to enjoy the evening!
