Boone, WV native brings his gritty Appalachian storytelling to Chattanooga this December. 12/6

West Virigina native Logan Halstead brings his original blend of country and Americana to Cherry Street Tavern on Friday, December 6th, giving folks an opportunity to see a songwriter whose talent far exceeds his age.

Tickets are $15 and the show starts at 9:00 p.m.

The Kentucky-born singer-songwriter, now 21, has gained attention for his poignant reflections on life in Appalachia, capturing the complexities of the region in his music.

Halstead’s breakout came in 2020 with the release of “Dark Black Coal,” a song he wrote at 15 about the coal industry’s impact on his community. The track quickly gained traction online, eventually leading to his debut album of the same name, released in 2023.

Produced by Lawrence Rothman (Angel Olsen, Amanda Shires, Margo Price), the album features songs that draw from both personal experience and the broader struggles of rural America.

Known for his minimalist sound and introspective lyrics, Halstead has been compared to artists like Tyler Childers and Sturgill Simpson.

His live performances have been praised for their sincerity, offering listeners an intimate glimpse into the stories and experiences that shape his songwriting.

Halstead’s show at Cherry Street Tavern offers a chance to hear these songs live in an intimate setting before he’s playing far larger stages.

Tickets are available now. All shows at Cherry Street Tavern are 21+.
