Pax Breu Ruim will host an evening of live music on Saturday, August 24th featuring three local artists with pretty different styles.
Fresh off a 7 month singer-songwriter residency at The Woodshop Listening Room, Alex the Band is playing his first full-band show in a while.
He’s got some new songs about family life, but nothing too sad like his last round of songs about old dogs and dead grandmothers.
Cody Ray stays busy playing his own music, which is like a cross between Paul Simon and Thom Yorke. But he also contributes guitar to other local acts like The New Quintet, which as the name would suggest, is a band made up of five people.
Unlike a lot of younger singer-songwriters, Christian Newport enjoys writing chill, good-time love songs. So if you’re expecting some angsty Taylor Swiftian rage ballads, take your angry heart elsewhere buddy.
Pax Brue Ruim is located at 516 E Main Street, in the heart of Chattanooga’s Southside neighborhood.
Music starts at 8pm, and there is a suggested donation of $10 bucks. But that’s only SUGGESTED. So that means you can come check out the music free of any financial risk, and only pay once you’ve been reassured that it doesn’t suck.
