Huntertones, a Brooklyn-based horn-driven jazz band, are poised to light up Miller Plaza at the Nightfall Concert Series this Friday night.
Chattanooga rock band Lillian kicks off the evening at 7:00 p.m.
Originally known as the Dan White Sextet, Huntertones began in Columbus, Ohio at The Ohio State University, where the band members first played at house parties on Hunter Avenue.
After their move to New York City, Huntertones further honed their high-energy fusion of jazz, funk, and soul. The band has toured over 20 countries as cultural ambassadors for the U.S. State Department, showcasing their imaginative compositions and daring covers worldwide.
You might also catch Huntertones’ members at their other gigs, such as performing in the house band on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, collaborating on Charlie Hunter’s SuperBlue project, and touring with multi-platinum selling band O.A.R. The band continues to innovate and connect with diverse audiences.
Their latest album, Motionation, exemplifies this ethos, taking listeners on a grand musical journey alongside acclaimed musicians like Corey Wong, Nêgah Santos, Corey Bernhard, Akie Bermiss, and Theron Brown.

Local Opener Lillian
Chattanooga’s alternative rock trio Lillian will kick off the evening at 7:00 p.m. They recently released their debut EP in March.
Comprising Josh Boutwell, Travis Knight, and Graham Courter, Lillian seamlessly blends post-punk and gothic rock with elements of shoegaze and darkwave.
Their performances offer a mesmerizing blend of haunting, mysterious, and uplifting sounds, distinguishing them within Chattanooga’s music scene and drawing comparisons to influential bands like The Cure and Joy Division.

Nightfall is a free, all ages weekly concert series that runs from May through August in Miller Plaza in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
