Jenny Don’t and the Spurs are set to light up Cherry Street Tavern on Sunday, September 22. The Portland-based band has been blazing their own trail in Country Western and garage rock for over a decade.
The night gets started with performances from Cat Campbell and Will Orchard.
Jenny Don’t and Kelly Halliburton formed the band in 2012, initially focusing on classic country covers. Over time, Jenny Don’t and the Spurs began writing their own songs, fusing West Coast surf rock and cowpunk with Jenny’s New Mexico country Western roots.
They have since released four full-length albums and toured extensively. In 2023 alone, they played 150 shows across 16 countries.
Their most recent album, Broken Hearted Blue, released this summer, marks a significant chapter for the band. The album, produced by Collin Hegna of Federale and The Brian Jonestown Massacre, showcases ten tracks that mix Western grit with the intensity of Pacific Northwest garage rock.
