Live music
This legendary dive bar venue has been putting on shows in Chattanooga since 2006. It’s impossible to talk about local live music without someone mentioning an unforgettable night at JJ’s.
It’s a long, narrow brick room frenetically adorned with crazy art, mismatched lighting and areas wallpapered with stickers and light vandalism. The raised stage is in your lap as soon as you enter the building. The sight lines are great, though it doesn’t take much of a crowd for it to begin to feel full.
The smoker friendly rear patio is a pleasant place to meet new friends or regroup in between bands.
They book a lot of local bands as well as regional and national touring acts. There is a long list of now famous bands that played JJ’s on tours early in their careers. Keep an eye on their calendar because this modest spot regularly books surprisingly big names.
JJ’s Bohemia also hosts regular comedy nights, open mics and dance parties.

Parking
Street parking on MLK Blvd and nearby streets is free after 6:00pm.
There is a large paid lot directly beside the building. Always pay your parking fee. Parking enforcement will ticket quickly and without mercy.
Using U.T.C. parking lots after hours is generally allowed, but avoid any lots that are reserved 24/7.
