Lineup release, road closure changes and a new happy hour all at this year’s Nightfall!
The Nightfall Concert Series has unveiled its lineup for the 2024 Summer concert season. Scheduled every Friday night from May 24 to August 30, this annual free music series brings a wave of excitement every year.
Alongside the artist announcements, the lineup release also disclosed some alterations to the festival’s layout and schedule.
Nightfall has decided to shake things up by changing the performance venue for a few shows this year. While most acts will still take place on the stage at Miller Plaza as usual, some bands will now take to the newer stage in Miller Park.
Road closure changes
In an effort to enhance traffic flow around the weekly event, organizers have opted to shift the road closures one block eastward. This means MLK Boulevard will be shut down from Miller Park/Miller Plaza to the Lindsay Street intersection. Both sides of Georgia Avenue will also be closed off around MLK Blvd, with designated motorcycle parking north of MLK Boulevard. Notably, Market Street will remain accessible to vehicle traffic throughout the festivities.
For food and beverage services, attendees can head to MLK Blvd between Georgia Avenue and Lindsay Street.
Nightfall happy hour
These adjustments in road closures facilitate earlier setup for the festival, paving the way for an exciting addition: the inaugural Nightfall Happy Hour for early birds. From 5:30 to 6:30 each week, attendees can enjoy enticing drink specials.
Perhaps most eagerly awaited by Nightfall regulars is the introduction of a “cooling machine” on site this year. Designed to cool outdoor areas of up to 2500 square feet by an average of 30 degrees, this innovation promises relief during the sweltering summer evenings at Chattanooga’s premier outdoor music series!
