Michigan-based indie pop band Joe Hertler & The Rainbow Seekers bring their genre-blending to downtown Chattanooga’s free outdoor music series this Friday at 7PM.
This Friday, the Nightfall Music Series in downtown Chattanooga hosts headliner Joe Hertler & The Rainbow Seekers, a funky genre-exploding band from Mount Pleasant, Michigan.
Joining them for this week’s show is Chattanooga rock n roll trio Confreres, set to kick off the evening at 7:00 pm.
Joe Hertler & The Rainbow Seekers blend rock, soul, folk, and funk into a sound that’s impossible not to groove along to. Whether you’re a seasoned fan or seeing them for the first time at Nightfall, their show promises an exciting night filled with color, energy, and unforgettable tunes.
The band formed in 2010, led by frontman and songwriter Joe Hertler, the group quickly built a reputation for their high-energy performances and diverse sound, pulling influences from folk, funk, ‘90s R&B, and indie pop.

Over the years, they’ve toured nationwide and played major festivals like Bonnaroo, Electric Forest, and Summer Camp.
At the heart of the Rainbow Seekers’ magic is their commitment to creating an engaging live show that blurs the line between performer and audience.
“The live show is the purpose of the band. This is why we make music.” says Hertler. “We believe that performance is not a High Art operation, and that you should do anything you can to ensure that the crowd is having a good time. From piñatas to confetti, to fog, to flowers, to drum solos, to strobe lights, to Thor, to sword battles-literally anything goes.”
This week’s Nightfall headliner promises to bring all of that energy to Miller Plaza.
