Join Nashville’s Okey Dokey and Local duo The Cle Elum for a Night of Indie Pop at this Week’s Nightfall Concert, Friday at 7 PM.
This week, the Nightfall Concert Series presents Okey Dokey, a Nashville-based duo celebrated for their bright blend of bedroom pop, indie rock, and early ’60s psychedelia.
The evening begins with Chattanooga’s own The Cle Elum, taking the stage at 7:00 p.m.
Their debut album, Love You, Mean It, featured the breakout track “Wavy Gravy,” which has garnered over 8 million streams on Spotify.
Listen to the single below.
Formed in 2017 by Johny Fisher and Aaron Martin, Okey Dokey has carved out a distinctive niche with their highly collaborative approach to making records. In their bio Fisher says, “It’s always been our mantra that the more people, the more fun and weirder it sounds.”
This collaborative spirit is evident in their 2019 album Curio Cabinet I, which features contributions from ten different artists, including Liz Cooper, Devon Gilfillian, Arlie, and Dent May.
Their 2020 record, Once Upon One Time, saw production contributions from members of Grizzly Bear, My Morning Jacket, and The Shins, with the album’s sound mixed by six different musicians from six different bands. Okey Dokey even invited fans to submit audio, incorporating these unique elements throughout the album.
Their latest release, Complicated Handshake, dropped in February and features guest musician Zella Day. Despite having fewer collaborators, the album continues their tradition of pushing musical boundaries with their most expansive and catchiest sound yet.
Don’t miss the chance to experience Okey Dokey, an indie pop group whose mesmerizing performance is sure to get you on your feet and dancing.

The Cle Elum opens the show
Let’s be clear: This week’s opener is not to be missed.
Originally from Chicago, The Cle Elum are now based in Chattanooga. The band features a husband-and-wife duo: Sarah Sargent on drums and Ian Lee on vocals and guitar.
This summer, The Cle Elum released two singles, “Old Folks” and “Goodbye Night Sky,” from their debut album, It’s OK If It Falls Apart, set to release on August 16.
The album features guest vocals from Nada Surf‘s Matthew Caws and Josh Caterer of Smoking Popes.
Although this is the debut album for this group, Sargent and Lee have significant music industry experience. They have managed tours and merchandise for artists like Nada Surf, Andrew Bird, and Alanis Morissette through their own tour support company, Affordable Tour Solutions.
We’re excited about The Cle Elum’s Nightfall debut and look forward to seeing you there!
