Grammy-nominated songwriter Amythyst Kiah set to release Still + Bright on October 25th via Rounder Records
The Chattanooga-born singer-songwriter Amythyst Kiah is set to release her third full-length album, Still + Bright, on October 25th via Rounder Records. The first single, “Play God and Destroy the World,” featuring Kentucky folk singer-songwriter S.G. Goodman, is now available.
Kiah’s new album, produced by Butch Walker—known for his work with Taylor Swift, Green Day, and Weezer—was recorded at Walker’s studio in Nashville.
The record also features guest performances from Billy Strings and Avi Kaplan.

Amythyst Kiah grew up in Chattanooga and later moved to Johnson City, Tennessee, where she graduated from the Bluegrass, Old Time, and Country Music Studies program at East Tennessee State University.
In 2013, she released her debut album, Dig.
Kiah was also a member of the Americana/folk supergroup Our Native Daughters. Her song “Black Myself,” a nominee for the 2020 Grammy Award for Best American Roots Song, was featured on the group’s debut album, Songs of Our Native Daughters, in 2019.
