Poor Taste and Tbone Presents announced a rowdy metal show coming to Chattanooga this May. Chat Pile, of Oklahoma City, is headlining with support from Portrayal of Guilt, Nightosphere and local opener MULT. Tickets will be available for purchase this Friday. Chat Pile’s debut full length album, God’s Country, was released in 2022 via the San Francisco label, The Flenser. The album saw very positive reviews in publications like Metal Injection, Paste and Pitchfork.
In a social media post from mid-February Chat Pile announced they were making progress on a followup to God’s Country that will be available later this year.

Portayl of Guilt is a metal band from Austin, Texas. They released a 10-song EP last April called Devil Music via Run For Cover records. The band was recently on the lineup for The Screaming Females’ annual Garden Party Festival in Jersey City.

Nightsophere, a three-piece band hailing from Kansas City, Missouri, skillfully navigates the realms of shoegaze, slowcore, and noise rock genres, effortlessly embracing each style. In April of last year, they unveiled their debut full-length album titled Katabasis.

Chattanooga shoegazers MULT are a five-piece band that have been building momentum in town over the last year. They are picking up frequent shows around the city and have played spots in Nashville and Atlanta. The band recently completed the recording of their first EP which we’re hoping will be announced soon.
MULT is a band that we are particularly excited to hear more from in 2024. Don’t arrive late to the show, because this is not an opening band that you would want to miss.
