Blake Worthington’s Third Single from the Forthcoming Record Too Far Gone Is Out Today
Chattanooga-based singer-songwriter Blake Worthington released a new single today called “Take Me With You,” a song he first began working on more than ten years ago. The song is the third single from his upcoming record Too Far Gone, due out later this year.
“Take Me With You” is a well-written, well-produced tune dripping with ’90s jangle-pop and country rock sounds that feel both nostalgic and fresh. There are obvious echoes of Old 97’s and influences from Gin Blossoms, but don’t confuse that with imitation.
Worthington maintains a distinct flair, incorporating his unique voice and adding his own ingredients to create a sound that pays respect to his influences while standing out on its own.
While we won’t be shy about enjoying the debut single “Too Far Gone” the most out of what has been released so far, “Take Me With You” is a standout track and a great single.
The song is available on all streaming platforms. You can listen to it below.
Release Timeline

The second single “Yellow Banks,” a song inspired by his hometown of Owensboro, Kentucky was released in May.
