Mon Rovia, Maria Jordania, and Abe Houck headline a night of music and storytelling at Songbirds on October 17th

The third installment of TEDxChattanooga Sessions arrives at Songbirds on Thursday, October 17th, offering a night of music and storytelling centered around the theme “Carry On.”

The event will feature local musicians Mon Rovia, LVNDR, and Abe Houck, each sharing their unique journeys through song and narrative.

Doors open at 6:00 PM, with the show starting at 7:00 PM.

Seating is limited, creating an intimate listening-room atmosphere at Songbirds Guitar Museum, which opened this year at its new location on East Main Street.

Mon Rovîa brings a compelling background to his music. Born in Liberia and now based in Chattanooga, his early life was shaped by war and displacement.

After being rescued by missionaries, he navigated various cultures, which deeply influences his artistry. Mon Rovîa aims to foster healing through his music, connecting with audiences from diverse backgrounds.

LVNDR

Maria Jordania, known as LVNDR, presents a refreshing voice in the neo-soul genre. Hailing from Chattanooga, her music blends a striking visual style with a smooth vocal delivery. She is poised to capture wider audiences with her innovative approach.

Abe Houck

Abe Houck, also from Chattanooga, offers a varied musical background. His upbringing took him from Iowa to South Africa, shaping his eclectic influences. With experience in multiple genres, including folk and rock, Abe is currently developing his debut solo album, set for release in 2025.
